Guest imported_41Kaddy
The electric clock on my 1955 Eldorado does not work, my mechanic tells me the rewind mechanism is not working. Where do I go to get this repaired to working order. Is conversion to a quartz mechanism possible, and how do I go about that. Do Judges at national events (CLC, CCCA, AACA) deduct points for clock conversions to quartz? Your help would be appreciated.
67Cadi
I'm looking for a replacement clock for my '67. I ran across these guys http://www.billsclockshop.comThey can fix them http://www.billsclockshop.com/repair.htmland the sell them http://www.billsclockshop.com/automobile.htmThere is another company that does they quartz conversion I had one in my Corvette, the second hand swept around instead of ticking off the seconds, it cost me a few point on the Vette. I'd imagine a Cadillac judge would be just as anal .Mick

6219_Rules
That would not surprise me. I had the '47s clock redone with quartz but it ticks along nicely. No second hand to that one. I want to show my car but I am not into trying to get a senior status...I just love to drive my car and want it as original as possible for that purpose. I would probably get in the low 330s given the interior cloth and wood trim, and exterior paint are not 100% original. But the engine and drive train are! Still the car cuts a beautiful line on the highway! I get thumbs up the whole way along.
