  5. I just got the Cadillac Parts & Supply Catalog in the mail from U.S.A. Parts Supply Limited! They have a pretty vast collection of parts! You can order a catalog on line at: http://www.usapartssupply.com/
  6. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">The option was dropped because reflective highway signs drove the things crazy, as 67Cadi found out ! Supposedly, moving the eye behind the grille instead of on the dash or in the fender spear alleviated that problem somewhat, but it was a very low volume option for the others and not worth the effort to adapt it. Don't y'all just love gadgets?!</div></div> We took the '67 CDV out for a drive last night, the "Autronic Eye" actually works petty darn good! I cleaned up it's lense and played with the sensitivity adjustment, and have found a "happy place" for it where it works pretty darn good! One thing I notice is it doesn't have much concern for the guy in front of you, it will fire off the brights ! But I'd bet this wasn't a problem when everyone had chrome bumpers! Tell me more about you gadget collection! I?ve started looking for GM shop stuff that would have been used when my car was new... Key items I'm looking for are the meters that they show in my shop manual for troubleshooting the ignition system!
  7. On that same subject I found this Kent-Moore, Autronic Eye Tester on Ebay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42606&item=2444503534 Kinda cool!
  8. Nice looking Cadi! Looks like it will be a fun project. What kind of budget do you have for the car? I would think a nice crate engine and transmission would cost a bit more than a rebuild of your current setup, if the original motor and transmission are rebuild able. Not to mention the expense of setting the car up to run a more modern drive line. But it would sure be fun!
  9. So far on My E-Bay Winning List! A Original 1967 Cadi Full Line Brochure Two '67 Service Manuals! One like new & one for the garage! A '67 Fisher Body Service Manual Anything else I should be watching for?
  10. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> I've bid on a fisher book; we will see how that turns out! </div></div> And the winner was ............ ME!
  11. Neat Site! I love the "Bits and Pieces" song when you look at the Junker promos page!
  12. I had to go to one of the links to figure out what you guys were talking about. Auto Dimming is what it is referred to on my '67, first time I drove it at night I thought man do I have a serious electrical issue! It keeps turning the high beams on and off! I pulled out the owner?s manual and figured it out! LOL It is a really cool feature would be nice if the still offered it so I wouldn't have to flash so many folks to get them to turn off there brights!
  13. I'm a big fan of ebay! I've bid on a fisher book; we will see how that turns out! What other documents did GM offer?
  14. I got two original '67 Cadi shop manuals off of E-bay ! Now I need to find a Fisher Body Manual for '67 so I can figure out how to get all the side trim off the car so I can do some serious detailing on the paint.
  15. Thanks Bob! I'll give some better gas a try and see how she does! Is there anything on the Rochester Carb on this car that would help lessen the dieseling?
  16. On occasion when you shut of my '67 it will keep running. If I turn it back on then switch it off 90% of the time it will shut off. At first I thought it was a problem with the ignition switch but power is being cut to the coil. Is this phenomenon dieseling? It's been a while since I had a car with a carb. What grade fuel do you guys run in your cars? Since mine had sat for so long I've been running the cheap stuff with a can of Techron for the past two tanks. Is this a sign of needing to rebuild the carb? I have also seen lead substitute in a can, is this something I should consider running in my car? Or is it just a waste of $$$$? In advance I appreciate your help!
  17. Hey I got 2 service '67 manuals! I bid on one from California, and then found one in the same area I live in! So bid won the local one and picked up the book Monday, then I just got a note that I won the second one! They are awesome great detail and troubleshooting charts! Looks like it will be a great reference!

  23. Is it just me or are most of the parts listings I see for the 1960's Cadillacs skip 1967? A lot of parts I'm finding are listed for the 5#-66 or a 68-7#!
