Fred Rawling
I ran across a guy looking for a 23 Dodge tail light and licence plate-tail light holder. This guy has no idea what he is looking for. Can anyone e-mail me a picture or discription so I can help him out?
Guest leadfoot
Hi Fred -A few years ago the DB Club News had a comprehensive article regarding tail/license/stop lights from the earliest through the mid 30's, if memory serves me. If you can wait a week or so I will be back home and can look up the article and make you a scanned copy. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Guest imported_RAH
Fred, I wrote that article in the DBC News. It was in the Jan/Feb '87 issue pp22. Unfortunately it covered only up to late '22. These were the common small round type Edmonds & Jones model 25 (of which there were 7 different versions). The late '23/early '24 was a one year only type. It was oblong with an amber stop lite lense. Yes this was the first use of factory stop lights. These mounted on a bracket which also carried the license plate directly below. There was a clear lense in the bottom for illuminating the license. The late '24/early '25 type introduced the round Type 'B' which was used to the '28 4's and 6's. Good Luck. I hope this helps some. You might check some of our DBC Vendors for this rare light. Rodger "Dodger" Hartley

Guest imported_RAH
Fred, I guess the first thing would be to get the guy's car's serial number. This was a transition period and many changes were going on. Then we can talk about what would be correct for his car. I'll help as much as I can.
