Guest
I used to have a '72 Cutlass Supreme that was a factory 455/turbo 400 car, buckets, console, factory cruise, air, ps, pb, AM/FM stereo, brownish gold color with tan interior. The only 455 cars that I ever saw were either 442's or SX's. Was this car rare? I wish I still had her, she was my first car, but cancer finally got her. I had new quarters put on in my junior year of high school but the install was very poor, leading to major problems that could not be seen until it was too late <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
Giftman
Hi-I have the exact car you are talking about...I am actually thinking of selling it if you are interested. I can't obtain any information on production numbers, but it is a rare car. In 1972 the 442 model per se no longer was produced, it came as an option package. In 1970-71 The Cutlass SX existed, and I am sure there are producton numbers available. Like I was told, think how many of these cars you have seen or heard of and you get an idea....not too many. Guest
Both the L75 and L77 455 V8's were offered on all Cutlass models. I don't know how rare these were but they are certainly worth holding on to.
