56 Buickboy Posted July 17, 2003 Share Posted July 17, 2003 What is meant to stop the worm drive from falling out the back of the vent window regulator. Is it the spring between the door panel and the handle? My regulators appear worn and I am not sure if there are pieces missing. Is there meant to be a washer of some sort to stop the spring wearing the regulator housing. My manual doesn't show one. Any help appreciated.Are new items available anywhere? old-tank Posted July 17, 2003 Share Posted July 17, 2003 There is supposed to be a plate on the back side that is peaned to 2 studs of the pot metal body. You will probably find in the bottom of your door.
