rocketraider Posted September 3 Share Posted September 3 Food Lion and Walmart dominate the grocery market here but the Pig carries stuff they don't, and Pig's house brands are very good quality. The one here just changed hands after 45 years under same ownership (Piggly Wigglys are franchises). I guess when you're nearly 75 you want to retire! Let's tie this to old cars. You may remember Miss Daisy Werthan would drive her Hudson to the Piggly Wiggly before she backed it over the garden wall. After that Hoke drove her to the Pig in her Cadillac.
