commander Dave
Hello all, Cudos to Rick Peterson on the last review! Wondering about the head on my 27 Comm. Roadster.[ Oh! I'm the guy that had so much trouble re-packing the nut on water pump shaft and finally got it. Still good, no leaks!], but anyway, my engine # is 37565 numbers on head 112588-3 g-5-2 engine date g-8-31 which is Aug. 31 1927. Is g52 May, 2, 1928? Head is iron. So what do you think, is the head standard or high comp.? I'm thinking standard... Also, it appears my engine was made just 12 days before the record setting roadster in the museum. Thanks guys. Albtrossca
If I understand the way Studebaker made the high compression heads, they were all Aluminum.
