Leif in Calif
I doesn't seem like the fire was bad enough to warp the body, so perhaps with a new back glass and tail lights it could live again, but I'd worry about rust in the areas where all paint had been burned off. (more pics in ad) https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/cto/d/pomona-1955-chrysler-new-yorker/7775250785.html Up for sale is my 1955 Chrysler New Yorker with a flaming hot past! In brief, the pristine Chrysler was parked in a garage which had caught fire. A survivor in it's own right; this '55 still does everything it used to do. Drivetrain: 331 Hemi Engine 2-speed Powerflite automatic transmission 3.36 gears Equipped with almost every option: Power Steering Power Brakes Power Windows Power Seats Rare factory Novi AC System Brought back to running driving condition, with the cosmetic being the worst of it's past. The fire damage is to the tail end of the car which the taillight/light harness were burned and rear glass shattered. Despite the scaring, the engine remains a valuable component, and the car has a solid frame and suspension system. The provenance lies in the service documentation and receipts dating back mid 1980's of it's California automotive history. Clean title in hand! $5,500 obo Call Duke (909)455-5259
StillOutThere
Chromed air cleaner, valve covers and fan shroud ! Someone cared for and was quite proud of this car at one time. Having lost one collector car while severely damaging a second in a shop fire, I can empathize with the owner when it happened. The PTSD is slowly fading...
