Trulyvintage
This is a 1929 Pierce Arrow at drop off in Hookstown, Pennsylvania eight years ago. Often when I look at an image of a pick up or drop off the memories return …. This was an older residential community that had houses with access to a private runway for airplane owners. Most were retired airline pilots going way back. The new owner had a collection of antique slot machines and table top clocks scattered throughout his log cabin home …. That is him in the trailer. Perhaps someone knows him. Jim Edited Wednesday at 12:39 PM by Trulyvintage (see edit history)
Trulyvintage
The same day - a few miles away. Please note - this is 8 years ago On a trailer in front of a building on a two lane country road. I post images and videos of vehicles for sale that I run across in my travels on my Facebook page: @ https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100005456325407&mibextid=kFxxJD
Gary_Ash
Way back in 2004, I had just finished the restoration of my 1948 Studebaker M5 pickup. We went to the Studebaker Drivers Club meet in Charlotte, NC, hauling the truck on an open U-Haul trailer behind my Expedition. On the way home, I wanted to see the Skyline Drive in Virginia again, so off we went. I don't recommend hauling a trailer on the Skyline Drive - slow, narrow, winding road, lots of hills. Here is a photo from a spot known as Tunnel Parking Overlook on the map, no towns nearby, near intersection of US 211 and Skyline Drive. After this trip, I bought my own flat bed trailer, later replaced it with a 20 ft enclosed aluminum trailer tall enough for the truck. At the Tunnel Parking Overlook. Another overlook point.
