pont35cpe
It`s wore out.. Looks like you`re bushing has lost it`s hex head, which has a grease zerk. Compare to the right side, or the rear bushing of the shaft.

pont35cpe
Most likely you need new shafts and bushings. Here is what you need to do a good fix: inner/outer kits, and upper kit(found 1 you`ll need 2). https://www.ebay.com/itm/222484857333 https://www.ebay.com/itm/225984757404 https://www.ebay.com/itm/226125481090 You may want to do king pins also, while you`re fixing the front suspension. https://www.ebay.com/itm/182233439613 Make sure you put the pins in right, if pins are upside down, won`t take grease. I'm not considering myself as a specialist regarding subject of this topic, but, as I recently developed a particular interest in '41 Buicks, I have some thoughts and questions. From photos posted, your car still has the original "fabric" - as per shop manual - bushings. Shop manual states, that lower arms, inner shafts, bushings and spring seats should be replaced as assembly. Obviously there's a zero chance to find these parts NOS. At some time, lower front arms were changed to threaded bushings and shafts - this is what is available now. So there's a question - could these later variant threaded bushings be installed in early variant lower arms? Is there a thread for the bushings? Or should the lower arms be replaced or modified to accept newer variant bushings?
gary blank
I think I have the fabric bushings as Andrew is showing, I can see the fabric so can I use the the newer lower inner shaft as pictured on the a arms I have. Again, I yet have no hands on experience with '41 Buick, but I don't think this kit gonna fit. Lower arms for fabric bushings have no thread to accept these newer style steel bushings.
