Packard Window Cranks

I thought ya'll would like you see these Packard window crank handles that I made recently? They are the first pair I've made and are simply polished pot metal, but I'm thinking I may send them out for plating however I would be very upset if the plater destroyed the detail??  The choke and spark knobs are made in bronze. They didn't come out very good, but I have fixed the problem since then. Nevertheless, they're pretty neat paper weights.

Anyhow Let me know what ya'll think.

Well I like the idea of casting your own parts. I sometimes wish I had the ability to do things like that.

Those look great! Nickel plating can be a little thick. You won't lose the stepped "frame-like" edge detail on the crank arms. If the background of the spark and choke faces are stippled (I can't quite tell) that will likely be lost - as an example, in my opinion. Gold or silver plating is much more compliant and you'll still see every little scratch....
