TexRiv_63 Posted May 17 Share Posted May 17 For sale on Ebay only, a unique and large framed collection of 67 original prewar enamel radiator badge and other emblems insignia nameplates for one bid. These emblems are tightly and nicely arranged on a hardwood framed panel and sealed in place with a thick transparent polyurethane coating. Car makes represented include Auburn, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Cord, Desoto, Dodge Brothers, Durant, Essex, Flint, Ford, Graham Paige, Hudson, Hupmobile, LaSalle, Locomobile Jr. 8, Marmon, Nash, Oakland, Oldsmobile, Overland, Packard, Plymouth, Pontiac, Reo, Roosevelt, Studebaker, Terraplane, Whippet, Willys Knight, and some auto clubs and wire wheel makers. Most of these emblems are enamel, made using the champleve or guilloche process of heat bonding melted glass to a copper base which was then plated. All of the emblems are in good to very good used condition with very little physical damage but normal wear from use. The poly sealed mounting precludes any knowledge of maker's marks or rear mount condition. The back of the panel includes a wire for wall hanging.
