Sal Hepatica
Owner took a trip to Pep Boys for the steering wheel, seat cover, and air cleaner. Could I drive it home with the old shoes?😂 Looks crust on rear quarter. What do you expect for 4 grand?
John_S_in_Penna
What were the designers thinking when they created this design? The front end looks angry. Surely the designers could see that. But what customer of Plymouth--especially for a family sedan-- wants an angry-looking car? Sorry to say, but I can see why, in a year or so, the company changed their lead stylist. When these were new, I thought they were the homeliest, strangest designs- and the '61 Dodge wasn't much better. They toppled the '58 Olds/Buick off the #1 spot of my list of ugliest cars. Today, I'd own one with gusto!

A lot of people probably agreed with you! The 1962 Dodge sets the record in my view.
Sal Hepatica
I briefly owned a '62 Dodge... hated them too when new. Oddly, today I like them. 2 minutes ago, John_S_in_Penna said: Thank you for the account from their introduction. A lot of people probably agreed with you! The 1962 Dodge sets the record in my view. 6T-FinSeeker
On 9/2, Seller marked the Facebook ad "SOLD!" For an asking price of $4,500, this certainly took some time to sell.

Sorry to say, but ugly cars prone to rust ruined Chrysler's decades-long reputation then--and still must not be an easy sell! According to old Consumer Reports magazines I have, Chrysler Corp. cars in the early 1950's, while styled conservatively, had many of the best ratings and were tops in reliability.
