66 Buick GS

Recommended Posts

To help end the 401 duel quad carb question.  Denny Manner head of Buick engines GS.  I met him at the 2023 MCACN  stated in 1966 no GS had the 425 installed at the factory these were for Rivera's and a few Wildcat's.  The dual quad 401 was a dealer install not a factory.

That makes sense because at that time GM was limiting the A-Body cars to 400 CID maximum (well, 401 for Buick).  ;)

The following year brought the Q-Jet and ended multiple carbs for BOP.  (Of course, Corvette still managed to get the 3x2 427.)
