First digit 1 indicates made in Flint, MI, USA. VIN’s did not exist until 1950’s and were standardised 1982 Buick used letter I as digit 1 and letter b as digit 6 STYLE N° 39-4411 39 = 1939 4 = Buick. (1- chev, 2 = Pontiac, 3 = Oldsmobile) 4 = 40 series (248 ci engine) 11 = 2 door sedan 19 is the far more common 4 door sedan BODY N°17064 17064th body for 1939 model year made in Flint TRIM N° 701 701 = Mohair Fabric Color Taupe (the most common) PAINT N°539 539 = Byrce Beige (uncommon color) What is the engine serial number?
