busaf44
I have a Northway V8 engine in a 1921 Cole which should be very similar to a Cadillac engineof that year It has a throttle valve (see picture) between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe which restricts the exhaust. The throttle plate axis was connected to the hand throttle linkage. The linkage has been played with so I do not know exactly how it was originally connected nor do I understand why one would want to restrict the exhaust I presume it is best to leave it wide open I would appreciated comments on anyone who has actually worked on Northway V8 engines Thank You Art
