Was There a Factory Tint on Hardtop Windows?

     Hi all,

     I'm wondering if there was a factory tinting to the hardtop rear window and portholes? I noticed on my '91 TC that all 3 windows on the hardtop seem to have a light, bluish-gray tint to them that seems to not be aftermarket from what I can tell. I don't recall seeing that on my 1990 hardtop before it was destroyed. Did they tint some from the factory? Maybe this was a change throughout the 3 years of production? Or were they all like this?

I am not aware of any factory tinting to the rear window.  The port holes had 3 version.  Because of a magnifying effect of the port holes and causing burning to occur on the carpet on the storage area doors the original version which was pure glass did get changed to have a light blue tint to them.  Version 2 was still a problem and version 3 had an etched edge on the ring outside layer of glass.
