philipj
As I continue to search for one, I was wondering about one detail regarding water distribution tubes... Are they supposed to be completely crimped at the end or should there be a small opening? Some I see are completely shut, others have a very small opening.... Which one would be more beneficial/correct?
philipj
I will answer my own question, at least for this vehicle, the water tube is partially open in the rear. It is about 24-7/16" long... Finally! I just came across a used one which you can see in the photos... philipj
Here is more on the tube.. Finally have a water tube for my car!.. After cleaning and straightening (made a short insert/tough without carpentry tools/otherwise I would have a full length) I will attempt to repair the end and then install in the car... Can't wait to see the car running with it... L= 24-1/2" W= 3/4" H= 1-15/16" Water openings (2) = 5/8" Distance to first opening= 9-3/8" Distance to second opening= 18-3/16" Edited July 23, 2023 by philipj (see edit history)
Bloo
Thanks for posting this. As much trouble as you had locating one, I can imagine the next guy who needs one having to make it from scratch.
philipj
I am glad to be able to help, and I might even go a step further and take a friends offer to do a 3D drawing of another tube I have. But first I have to make a jig to remove it without damaging it from a spare engine...
