There has been enough discussion regarding the recovering material for 63,64, and 65 Rivieras. A number of givens were agreed by many but not summarized.

1. The grain pattern for the 63 dash pad is hair cell.
2. The dash grain pattern is different than the vinyl upholstery pattern on the 63,64,and 65 Riviera.
3.The dash grain is suppose to match the plastic covers that are on the far left and far right attached to the dash, ( these plastic hair cell patterns on the far left and right may be an option)

4.Besides the grain being hair cell  pattern  there remains many hair cell patterns.

5. Hair Cell maybe the first name of the pattern but do the two different patterns used on our Riviera have a last name?

I think the answer for the dash pad grain depends on who you ask. Since Buick doesn’t sell the covering for the dash nor does Buick tell us where to buy the stuff we have to do our best to get the right stuff.
I have two samples of dash material for the 63 Riviera attached to an SMS Auto Fabrics Company standard sample form. SMS sells to anyone that has check, money order ( in advance), credit card, and PayPal. Here is what SMS says is the exact materials needed for the 63 dash pad.
