Rob Barker Posted February 6, 2023 Author Share Posted February 6, 2023 Thanks for replying, I’m replacing an engine in my 35 1st series pickup . The engine that’s in there is not an original. Looks like possibly a 230 from late 40’s maybe - ID numbers ground off. But what I noticed they had to do was remove a section in the starter mounting area to fit the starter . I’m assuming because of the engine having a full water jacket? I was wondering if they had a bell housing they made in 35 that would work and still be able to bolt up the same to the trans cross member.
