Guest
Hello, all! ericbolstridge@mhznetworks.org I'm getting married in June, and rather then have the traditional black limosene take me and my new bride to the airport, we thought it would be lots of fun to have a classic convertible take us from the reception site. I would be interested in any make, model or year (just something fun). Does anyone in your organization do this kind of thing? Do you know of any companies that offer a classic car (with driver) for hire? Thanks for your help.Eric Bolstridge(I'm in the Washington DC Metro Area)Please reply to me via email if you have any ideas. Thanks!! ericbolstridge@mhznetworks.org
Guest BruceW
Eric,I do not know of any companies that hire out classic cars around the DC metro area..and if there was I would guess that they would be rather expensive. You might try looking at the list of AACA regions on the region listing of the AACA website http://www.aaca.org/regions/index.htm and find a region close to your area. There are a number of regions in the southern Maryland and northern Virginia area and one is probably close to you depending on what part of the DC metro area you are in. By contacting the region, you may be able to find someone that will drive their car and transport you for the wedding. Many times, members will do so for a donation to the clubMembers of our region often drive for local weddings. Since we are not a business, the members do not charge a set fee... but do accept donations from the requester. In our region, we generally leave the donation amount up to the requester (often it is more than we would have requested any way), and then the member usually donates that amount to the club coffers. Also.. offering a good free meal at the recepton might help to sweeten the request. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />Congratulations on the wedding and good luck with the car ! R W Burgess
Hi Eric, You can contact the editor of the National Capital Region of the AACA. I'm sure they have someone in the club that would help you. Call Jerry Dugan at 301-934-1754 or e-mail him at jdtralr@aol.com. Hope this helps. Good luck.
