STuTZ693
I am looking at a 1957 Dodge DC100 with a 315 V8 and a three speed manual. If I would buy the truck, I may want to find and install an overdrive transmission which I believe was an available factory option. I assume I would need the OD transmission, mounts, and driveshaft plus electrical components. I would appreciate information from those that are familar with these wonderful trucks. wldavis
Contact George Asche, 814-three five four - 2 six 21, in PA. He is the "overdrive guru" when it comes to Borg-Warner overdrives of the 1950's. He may be able to answer your questions. I "think" when swapping an overdrive transmission where a three speed was, there is no change in the length of the drive shaft, but I could be wrong.
