38 Special needs engine work

Check with Dave Tacheny (1-763-427-3460 ) who is just north on Minneapolis .   Excellent parts supplier and may know who is in the area to solve the 'noise'  issue.   If its a rod noise - stop running the engine.   Otherwise its possible the damage will be VERY EXPENSIVE to fix.    I've had two engines (248 special engines) completely  rebuilt and it ran in the $7,000 range.   Both did not require line boring which increases costs.     Dave may have a decent 248 engine without spending a ton of $$.   Just a thought.
