Tom Boehm
Did Raymond Loewy or Bob Gregorie design the grill on the 1946 Lincon Continental? Gregorie designed the first 1940/1941 Lincoln Continental and the 1942 update. The latest issue of the Hagerty Drivers Club Magazine claims Raymond Loewy designed the 1946 grill. I have never heard he had anything to do with Lincolns of that era aside from customizing his own personal car.
Tom Boehm
Is there any difference between the 1942 Continental and the 1946 Continental other than the grill? Are the grills interchangeable? It seems the author of the Hagerty magazine story lifted his facts from Wikipedia which credits Raymond Loewy for the design of the whole 1946 Continental. It appears to me that all he did was the grill and Wikipedia is misleading or just wrong.
