Gary56
I got my finish and the other day I took it out for a drive and I had a problem with the wheels. When I got it up to about 35 it seemed like I was going to loose a tire, It wobbled. Is this normal for wooden spoked wheels? I checked them and wheel bears and they seem ok. Can somebody give me any insight about these wheels.
JFranklin
Checklist: Everything in the steering and axle to factory specs, Alignment set, Wheels tight & balanced, tires true & balanced. Now go for a ride.
Gary56
I checked the bearings, spokes, tire pressure, checked alignment as well as I could. I think what I feeling is the flat spots on the tires. I drove my car for a little while and it seemed to get better.
TOM H. S.
Perhaps one of the tires side wall could be soft or bulging out. Check for cracks in the rubber of the tires, as speed may promote wobble from age from hardness or softness. Try to figure out if there is dry rot in the tires, unless tires are brand new. Bias Ply tires will always have a flat spot from being parked so warming up is needed.
