406mac
Can anyone tell me what this little AC Tachometer is for? 3 inches in length...1 1/2 inches in diameter.....when the input shaft is turned clockwise the tach measures RPM in increments of a 100 from 500 to 4000 rpm.....when the shaft it turned counter-clockwise is measures RPM in the same increments from 500-4000RPM? Thanks for any help.....
TerryB
I believe it’s for measuring machine speed, like a turning wheel on a lathe or something similar.

kbeach
Believe TerryB is correct. It would have had a rubber tip to press on the turning shaft and held in one hand to read the rpm.
