Red '38 DeSoto Sedan

Some time has past since we last talked about a beautiful red '38 DeSoto sedan that was first brought to our attention by f.f.jones on Feb 3. Many of us were impressed with it at the time. I wrote to inquire about the overdrive and now, after all this time, someone wrote back to me. Here's a link to the original AACA notice about it:

Hi James,

Sorry for the delay, this email slipped through the cracks.

This is a running car, but I do not know if the over drive knob works unfortunately. It is untested. I do however have an update for you. We will be putting the DeSoto in the Ritchie Brothers Auction, here in Chilliwack, along with a few other vintage cars. If you'd like to bid on any of them, the auction date is May 24th and 25th and the auction ships world wide.

It's sort of strange, but I can't seem to find a copy of the original photo. The Craigs List one has disappeared from age.

Nor can I locate any DeSotos in the auctions listed.  Only heavy equipment.
