16 Valve Intermittent Running

I have a dilemma with my 16 valve.   It will run for 20 or 30 minutes then shuts down.  If I let it sit for another 20 or 25 minutes it starts again and the same cycle repeats.  Can anyone give me some insight on what the problem may be?

Preliminary diagnosis based on limited information suggests electrical ( such as distributor pickup) or a faulty fuel pump maybe. Those were problems my 16v encountered.

I appreciate your input.  I have previously replaced the fuel pump and the distributor pick up with OEM parts.  The fault codes have not indicated that there is a problem other than disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.
