Guest
Hi,On my 1970 Cutlass convertible, 350/4V automatic, would it have had a THM 400 or THM 350 from the factory? I believe the answer is THM 400, and I think mine has a THM 350 which was installed later. It appears to have that configuration, and is missing the TCS switch on the side of the trans. The wiring for it is still present however. Am I correct that is should be a THM 400?Also, which size sway bar should be on the front of my car? I think it should be 1".Thanks,Patrick

Oldsmaniac
Your car should have a turbo 350 since it is a small block car. Big blocks were mated to the turbo 400 trans. I believe the exception would be in 67 where the turbo 350 was not yet available and some small blocks came with the turbo 400.
Guest
Thanks guys! It's got the JL code, which appears to be correct, then. I went and looked on Sunday.So...any idea what the wire is that is hanging down along the right (pass) side of the trans, about 3 inches lower than the trans and disconnected? If you look in the factory service manual, it "appears" to match the one listed for TCS, but I see nowhere for it to attach.
