1939 Ford Woody Rear Valance

I'm trying to put a '39 Ford Woody back together and do not know how the piece of wood under the tailgate attaches to the car.  I see that there are "tabs" that slide into the slots of the bottom of the D pillars but there are screw holes that I have no idea what they attach to.  Does anyone have pics of the underside of the rear of a 38-39?

Thanks.

Update: I decided to look thru some

boxes of old parts that came with the car and found these.  The car was taken apart at least 30 years ago.  Amazing these survived.  I wouldn’t have known what they are without your picture.  Thanks David!

If you are missing any of the metal bracket's for your '39 there is a company called "Treehouse Woods" located in Taunton MA, that has most of them on reproduction.
