john hess Posted September 29, 2021 Share Posted September 29, 2021 I'm looking for a straight 8 and 3speed manual transmission for a 53 Pontiac. 49-54 should be the same. driveshaft also if available. close to Hershey. transmission is a 5 bolt top cover unit. these were built by buick, for pontiac. that being said, a pre-55 buick 3 speed manual transmission is the same. tailcone is different length but top cover must be 5 bolt, not 6 bolt..
