60FlatTop
Labor. A big part of the paint job cost. But a typical car has 6 to 10 major panels and doing one at a time with patience can make it bite size. My 1986 Buick Park Avenue convertible had a panel fabricated to fit between the deck lid and top well. It did not get the factory top quality paint finish. After 35 years it has started to lift. Luckily there is only one coat of very dry paint over primer and a few dabs of peanut butter. Between yesterday and today I spent about 2 1/2 hours removing the old layer with a razor. Only three panels need that level of stripping and this was the worst. Glad I didn't drop it off with a professional with a grinder and an 80 grit disk.
