The sad thing is that a lot of the electronics and control systems are being put in place “because we can”.  Not really needed, and instead of helping marginal drivers, it’s making them think the vehicle can do it all.

 

Its downhill from there.  By definition, half the drivers on the road are below average.  Toss in phone distractions and a mindset that the “the car has it under control” and disaster follows.
