Corvette5279
Hey guys, I am stuck. I am trying to pull the engine out my 32 901, but need to remove this bar so the arm on my engine hoist reaches the engine. There are 3 bolts on each side. Undid those and figured it would push right out. Nope, moves half an inch then hits something very solid. There is a rivet and I thought that might be holding me up, but it looks like it’s holding the front springs on. Any advice on how to get it off? edinmass
Your cherry picker is too small, I have pulled countless pre war engines using out unit and have never had a problem. Packard, Pierce, Cadillac, Stutz, the list is endless.........it’s probably so small that it isn’t safe to use it to pull your engine.
