It allows you to loosen and tighten the rocker arm nut and then adjust the screw to set the gap, then retighten the nut all with one hand. this is really a handy tool to have if you have an older car. It is in great shape, will need the correct socket for the adjusting nut 1/2" drive, and is missing a spring on the shaft.
