Jim, I just picked up a brass horn very similar to yours. As I stated, it's all brass and the label is as follows. "The Long Horn", the G. Piel Co., Long Island City, N.Y.. It also has a serial number stamped on the label,  no.3395. It has a bracket on the flange and an angled round mounting post that I assume bolts to the side of an early car. It's hand operated and has a black, what looks like hard rubber or Bakelite disc that you press down on to make the sound.

Jim, I just noticed that your horn was made in Brooklyn, NY. As I indicated mine was made in Long Island City, NY. Was NY the horn capitol of the world?
