1918 and earlier Pierce-Arrow hood question

I am trying to learn more about the differences in the Pierce-Arrow hoods made between 1915 and 1918.

1- how similar is the 38 hood to the 48 hood?

2- what is the length of the 38 hood and the 48 hood?

3- when was the side louvers added in place of the flat sided (no louvers) hood?

4- What does the mechanism look like for the two top vent doors?

5- does anyone have patterns for the top vent doors?
