Michael CPA
So. Old Buick Parts says that the 1952 - 1953 escutcheons they have wont work on my 1955 Roadmaster and I am in need of 2 to replace. I asked what the difference is and they did not know. Can anyone enlighten me? If the center hole is the same size, I think I could make them work. They sure look the same just the new ones look pretty and maybe flair out slightly more.
1953mack
You say door crank. Are you looking for the 1953 door handle, door window or vent window escutcheon dimensions? I edited this post since I had second thoughts on what you are looking for. Edited July 9, 2020 by 1953mack (see edit history)
Michael CPA
The door escutcheons for my 55 Roadmaster are the same size for both the door and vent window. I have electric windows so am uncertain if they are also the same. Edited July 9, 2020 by Michael CPA (see edit history)
1953mack
- The slope on the 1953 escutcheons appear to be flatter than your 1955s for one difference. - I don't have escutcheons on my front-door or rear-quarter windows since mine are powered also.
