Hi,

I have just listed a huge collection of over 40 vintage press kits on eBay (link below). Brands include Mercedes Benz, Saab, Lotus, Alfa Romeo, British Leyland (Triumph, MG, Jaguar, Land Rover, Austin, Mini), Volvo, American Motors / Jeep, Dodge, Plymouth, Peugeot, Renualt, BMW and more. Most are from the 1970s with a few from the late 1960s or early 1980s.

 

A press kit is a package of photos and articles / specs sent to journalists to provide them with information about the new models (and hopefully to encourage them to provide free publicity by writing about the car). As they were never available to the public and printed in limited numbers, they can be very rare. They are very interesting pieces as well - the photos included were likely published in dozens of newspapers and magazines in period.
