on some of my posts a trophy appears in the lower right corner. What does it mean and who determines I get one?

It's someone thanking you for posting whatever you posted. You can "like" other's posts by clicking on the "thumb up" on each post at the lower right. If you click on the trophy, it will show you who thanked you for that post.
