16AHead
Restoring a 1932 16A and am having trouble finding a 6V battery which will fit into the battery box through the side skirt. What has anyone found that will work?
PFitz
It's a group 3 battery, but not sure which letter code height will clear. Check with Tractor Supply Company or Interstate Battery, to get their group 3 measurements. However, because it's so difficult to check and add water in through the battery door, some owners go with a sealed Optima battery. Better than using a flash light and mirror while on your knees. Steve Braverman
I gave up on the expensive lead/acid batteries, and went with an optima. I made up a spacer from wood to hold the smaller battery securely in the carrier. It's about the same price, but it has a lot more CCA, and it lasts a lot longer.
