hosspapa
Looking to identify what vehicle used this pair of vintage Rotax head lamps. The lights are massive (face is 10 1/2" diameter x 8" deep). They were in my grandmother's loft in the UK with the story that they were from a Daimler used by Churchill following the war. All involved with this story are now deceased -- so I'm trying to track down the vehicle they might have come from. There no visible serial numbers or markings other than the ROTAX emblem atop each lamp. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Terry Bond
Quite a story but probably only someone's vivid imagination. Lots of different cars used them, and they also available as an inexpensive aftermarket item often used to replace more expensive headlamps. Based on the shape of them I'm thinking they were early to mid 20s. Lots of possibilities but most would only be guesses. You may want to post your question and photos also on prewarcar.com which is a great site with a European focus. Terry
