Guest
I recently aquired a 1965 98 Holiday coupe. I am having trouble finding out information about this car. Can someone tell me what the Holiday option is? Are there any good information sites on this big cars? I've found plenty for the Cutlass and 442 but not for the 88/98 cars. Can anyone help me out? 66400
Holiday is the Oldsmobile marketing term for the hardtop body style during most years of production. Henry
Guest
Correct me if I am wrong but if that were the case then why would there be Holiday coupes and regular coupes? According to the production figures there are Holiday coupes and coupes. For there to be a difference in production figures, there has to be something that makes a Holiday option different or unique from a regular coupe, right? Ron of Chicago
The Holiday was introduced in the 1949 model. It is a pillarless hardtop. They also introduced the wrap around windshield. I think the Holiday designation was dropped in 1974. Nothing more to it. Ron
66400
A coupe would be a 2 dr with a post. Also Holiday was used as a trim package in the latter '70's and early '80's Oldsmobiles.Henry
Guest
By post, are you refering to an actual "B" pillar or the chrome weathersrtip piece on the rear windows? This is the way mine is setup. With both F & R windows up, there is a seperation made up of the chrome strip. With both windows down, it is open from the front A pillar to the rear sailplane. 66400
With the side windows rolled down you can slide a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood into the cars interior. Henry
