Hudsy Wudsy
I find the name "carb plunger" accurate, but kind of interesting. I've always known them to be called "throttle pumps" here in Minnesota. I enjoy regional language differences. Harold, what part of the country do you call home? Do any others have different names for this carburetor part?
Harold
I'm in New Jersey and have never heard the term 'throttle pump', so there must indeed be regional differences in automotive terminology. Another one that comes to mind is 'license plate light' or 'tag light'.
Hudsy Wudsy
Interesting. I recall finding it somewhat odd that many places called "license plates", "tags". Nothing, however, puzzled me as much as learning that some places called "glove compartments", "jockey boxes". Got any others, Harold?
