Brooklyn Beer
Working on sorting out another issue with the 1949 Roadmaster. Temp gauge isn't working. Reading in the manual it is a mechanical gauge and not electric so should not be any issue with the 12 volt conversion. Is there a common problem with this type of system I should be looking at first?
Ben Bruce aka First Born
BB, the temp sender is in fact a liquid filled, either I believe, bulb and "pipe" . directly from the head to the dsh gage. The bulb is in the head, passenger side, above and just behind #8 spark plug. Many times, the pipe [ Buicks word for a small 1/8th in tubeing] is broken. entire unit then must be removed for rebuilding/repair. Ben
