Barney Eaton Posted October 4, 2002 Share Posted October 4, 2002 First I suggest you remove the screw from the other end and try it in the end that is presently disconnected. There is a possibility that the threads are stripped. If the threads are ok..then find a replacement screw.If the threads are stripped you will need to remove the door panel and repair the "nut" end. This could be a threaded insert, a tinnerman clip, or a nut attached to the back side of the sheet metal. The fix all depends on what tools you have ...... Guest Greg Ross Posted October 4, 2002 Share Posted October 4, 2002 Not certain about the '90 but on the '88-'89 a slender 1/4 " drive 10 mm socket is required.
