First I suggest you remove the screw from the other end and try it in the end that is presently disconnected. There is a possibility that the threads are stripped. If the threads are ok..then find a replacement screw.

If the threads are stripped you will need to remove the door panel and repair the "nut" end. This could be a threaded insert, a tinnerman clip, or a nut attached to the back side of the sheet metal. The fix all depends on what tools you have ......

Not certain about the '90 but on the '88-'89 a slender 1/4 " drive 10 mm socket is required. Your standard Socket Set will not have this slender style of socket, suggest a trip to a well stocked Auto Parts Store to locate same. wink.gif
