Touchscreens interchangable? Reatta and Rivieras (88-89s)

I can get a touchscreen from a Riviera. Can this touchscreen be used in a Reatta without any trouble?

Yes, no problem, completely interchangable between Riv. and Reatta. The CRT gets it's configuration info from the BCM. Go for it!

However please note that there have been numerous posts of the Riv display patterns (different from the Reatta) being BURNT (electronic term) into the screen.

Perhaps only a slight problem and only visible faintly in the background but still there. OK for daily driver, not for me

Yes it works the only difference is the Buttons.

There are no hard buttons (Reatta) only touch screen buttons (Riv).

The 'Diagnostics and Options' button labels are reversed (Riv).

Toronados also have touch screens, right? Are they interchangable with Riv's/Reatts as well, since they are also GM vehicles?

I've seen one or two in the salvage yard. I think the button locations at totally different, Not 100% sure. The crt should be interchangeable (actual Cathoide Ray Tube).

The Olds CRTs were color, while the Buick was monochrome. They are not interchangeable, sorry. Howard
