tyler searle
Hopefully going to install the engine in the 38 Special today. Should the new engine mounts be installed in the car or on the engine? Either way, this does not look like it's going to go in without a struggle. Any advice from someone that's done this before would be great. DonMicheletti
Install them on the frame first. There is a little lip at the bottom inside of the mount that will support the engine even before the bolts are installed. I assume you mean the rears. You have to shim between the engine and mount if necessary to take up the clearance. The job is prety easy
tyler searle
Thank you once again, Don. I would have thought the other way around. Glad I asked. Tyler
