Hubert_25-25
The parts book calls out "Side Curtain Rod Caps - Male and Female" 8.645 160290 Curtain Rod Cap, Male AR 1923 -1928 Open models 8.645 160291 Curtain Rod Cap, Female AR 1923 -1928 Open models There is also a listing that runs for open models 1922 to 1932 with another part number. Photos from the 1925/26/27 Standard Book of Parts. These look like sheet metal caps that were either used in the side curtains themselves, or to cover the holes in the doors when the rods were not in place? They look to be made from sheet metal. Does anyone have any pictures of these and where they were used? Thank you, Hugh Edited March 11, 2018 by Hubert_25-25 (see edit history)
trimacar
These were used inside the curtain itself, where the top of the curtain rod stopped. They had tabs on them that went through the side curtain material, joining the male and female pieces, and a socket that held the top of the rod in place. Off hand I'm not aware that anyone sells a modern exact replacement. The Model A suppliers have a fitting that does the same thing, slightly different design, see link.' http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/curtain-rod-support
